Cabochon with Wire Woven Bezel

This class will build on the skills learned in the introduction to wire
weaving class. You will use the weave taught in that class to form a
woven bezel around a cabochon, create a woven bail and secure the
stone by lashing curved wire on the back of the bezeol.
Materials Needed:
Materials for class must be purchased at Beadoholique.
cabochon - teardrop or oval shaped
20 gauge dead soft round wire (min 50 inches)
26 gauge dead soft round wire (min 10 feet)
1 tube size 8 seed beads
chain or cord to hang pendant

Techniques Used: Wire bending and wrapping.

Skill Level: Intermediate

Prerequisite: Intro to Wire Weaving or demonstrated
basic wire weaving skills

Tools Needed:
flush cutters
nylon jaw pliers (wire straighteners)
chain nose pliers
flat nose pliers
round nose pliers
6-step looping pliers
files or emery boards or sandpaper to smooth ends
kumihimo bobbin
magnifiers (optional but recommended)
