Silversmithing: Hollow Form Pendant

Learn how to construct a hollow form pendant with a gem setting.
Materials Needed: (kit available day of class)
24g sterling sheet
6 inches 24g sterling strip wire
1 - 4mm, 6mm, or 8mm cabochon
Bezel wire to fit cab
Clasp and Chain

Metal hole punch or drill bits
Nylon hammer
Chasing hammer, Texture hammer
Steel block with sand bag
Rubber block
Soldering brick & heat proof surface
Easy, Medium and Hard solder
Flux and brush
Butane torch w/ fuel
Miter vise
Disc cutter and brass hammer
Jumbo metal file set
Flat nose, Chain nose, Round nose, Nylon flat pliers
Hallmarking stamps/stamp straight block,
stamping hammer
Jeweler's saw, blades, lube, bench pin

Bezel pusher or rocker
Steel and Agate burnishers
6-Step looping pliers

Skill Level:
To sign up for a class you may register online, come into the shop, or call us!  Students must be a minimum of 13
years old to participate, or twelve years old if taken with a paying adult.
If you sign up online for a class less than 24
hours in advance
you MUST call the shop and speak to an associate for availability. Payment for class is due when
you sign up.  
You must come early to purchase needed supplies. Evening classes require that materials be
purchased prior to 6pm (or 5pm on weekends), since the stores may be closed to shopping.
