Wire Wrapped Cabochon

Create a stunning pendant by learning the technique of wire wrapping!
This basic wrap allows you to create pendants by wrapping undrilled
stones with flat backs (cabochons). This is a second take on this class
expanding your skills using Sterling silver wire!
Materials Needed:
(Materials for class must be purchased at Beadoholique)
cabochon (between 1 to 1-1/2 inch in length and 3/4 to 1
inch wide - symmetrical shape if you have no wire wrapping
experience)
21 gauge Sterling square wire
18 gauge Sterling half round wire
Sterling chain to hang pendant
Sterling clasp

Techniques Used: Wire bending and wrapping.

Skill Level: Beginner

Prerequisite: None

Tools Needed:
flush cutters
nylon jaw pliers (wire straighteners)
chain nose pliers
flat nose pliers
round nose pliers
5-step mandrel to form bail
or looping pliers
pin vise (optional)
painter's tape
ruler
sharpie
scissors
magnifiers (optional but recommended)
